problem with the battery light indicator its on...changed the battery to a new one but light still stay on....took it to the mechanic and said battery and alternator working good but that he dont know why its on,,,,please help what might be the problem???

 

alternator belt slipping, bad battery, bad alternator, or unplugged alternator...those the only things that turn on the battery light.

 

no you forgot one the battery temp sensor could be unplugged its in front of the battery under the tray or it could be bad but most likely it just came unplugged

 

yep my battery temp sensor got cracked so i just pulled the light from behind the cluster.

 

ya or you can just replace it with one from a junkyard and hope you get lucky and get a good one not trying to overrule you garret t3

If you have a UDP installed....you may get the battery light flicker every now and then. That would happen when I had the MPx UDP installed on my 97 neon.
