Default WTB: SOHC engine in midwest

Bought the blue base 98 neon from I_Ride_Neon, put in a new oil pressure sending unit, and it stopped leaking. Made it 150 miles (50 miles from my house) sounding great... And the oil light and check engine light both came on simaltaniously. I immediatly started to pull over, then I heard a metal on metal noise that I've previously heard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Deb70YCKFSM)

Backtracked, found a massive oil slick... didnt stay around and find parts, we pushed it with my car to a save (relitivly) parking spot... Left a note (if you find a blue neon with a note on the back glass please dont steal it or light it on fire...

Lots of oil droplets on the back of the car. I'm thinking either the Rear main, HG or mabey a rod came loose. Engine temp was normal, engine sound was normal. 4 quarts gone in 10-20 feet (plus some trickle)

Anyone got a SOHC engine in the midwest for cheap? GF just needs some very simple transportation back and forth to work so we can pool our incomes and get out of this apartment...

Let me know, please? I just need a SOHC engine that runs decent.

call junkyards, I wouldn't pay more than 250 for a complete junk yard motor.

if it lost that much oil in such a fast time, then im pretty sure it wasnt the rear main seal...

did the car start running bad after the problem started?
maybe it broke a rod

Yeah, all was well then the lights came on, and tick tick TICK TICK KNOCK KNOCK SCREECH... Yeah. lots of fun. I broke my lisance plate frame pushing it, but we had to get it off the interstate...

There's one listed for $200 by me, I was just wandering if anyone had one. I trust people more then I trust junkyards...
