Default srt-4 turbo question

If I buy a adjustable wategate. Whats the lowest amount of psi that I can run with the srt-4 turbo? Anyway to get 3 or 4 psi?

with the adjustable waste gate, you can set it for 0 psi if you wanted too

Awesome. SO the agp should go to 2 or 3 psi? Do any of the wastegates have minimum psi limits? ALso I think you were the one that told me you dont need coolant on the srt-4 turbo. Is that correct?

it does have lines for coolant. i would not recommend running it without coolant because it would really shorten the life of the turbo.

That question was for spud. I know it has coolant lines. I own 4 of the turbos :-). I thought paul says he drove 30,000 miles on one with no coolant lines. He just let it cool down before he shut off the car "poor mans turbo timer". It was a long time ago in a pm so I cant remember for sure.

Well srt-4 guy. Can you answer me this. If you have a stock srt-4 wastgate and all. How much boost will it run if I bolt it to my 2.0? Doesnt the srt4 run 15 or so? But the srt-4 has a stock boost controler doesnt it? So will it run 15psi on my 2.0 with a straight vac hooked to it ?

i had no issues running the turbo with no coolant lines.....as long as you let it cool after running it hard....but hell, you can find the turbofolds for $200 and sumtimes less, if sumthing happens after 50,000 miles, just slap another one on there

if you hook the stock wastegate straight to one of our vaccum lines, then the wastegate will run at whatever its max is.....
the srt4's dont have a stock boost controller, but all the vaccum lines for the turbo run off of selonoids(which we dont have or need to use).....if i remember correctly, srt4's run about 13psi stock.....

during the break in period of my built motor, i ran the agp wastegate at 4psi....with room to lower it some more

Spud You need to help me confirm its 14? I have been looking and come to find out a stock srt-4 wastgate will only run 4psi if hooked straight vac. I have read it about 7 places. So I am lost. I wont buy the agp if I can get 4psi off the wastegate. I can use a boost controller to turn it up. Have you ever tried one? Everything I read was from forums.

Yes the SRT-4 turbo and manifold bolt up to the DOHC head. The stock limit is set 4 lbs of boost.

If you want to turbo your neon, you will need more than the turbo and manifold."
