Default Jeep Grand Cherokee stereo swap to my Neon?

Hi, I have a 4dr 97 neon, it doesn’t even have a tape deck, so I came across a cd/tape deck from a Jeep Grand Cherokee...

It looks like it will slide into the slot, but I don’t know anything about adapters and what not... I was hoping someone knowledgeable in this could shed some light, thank you!

Looks like it should fit, although I am not sure about the '97. As far as the wiring issue, everything should be ok with that. Auto makers tend to install all the wiring on all models in an effort to save on manufacturing. Try taking out the old radio, and see if it will actually hook up to the one you found. If it doesn't I would just recommend buying an aftermarket one from one of the local dealers. Crutchfield offers a wide variety of head units, and they'll send you everything you need to put it in, including step by step instructions. If that doesn't help, put up another post and I'll try to help you out.

I believe the plugs are the same, should just be plug and play.
