Default oil leak......?

Today my car started leaking oil. It is dripping from the passengers side rear corner of the oil pan. But I think it is coming from somewhere above that, I just cant see it. It doesnt seem to be the cam seals, where else can it be coming from?

It drips about every 4-5 seconds when i the car is running. and I dont think it drips at all when the car is off.

Sounds like a pressure leak. I worked on a car a month back that was leaking oil from the same spot. Came to a conclusion it was one of the oil pump seals. Chanced it and it stopped leaking. Best thing you can do is clean off the oil, run in and check it. Thats what we had to do. Good luck.

which seal did you end up changing?

and to do it, you have to remove the timing belt and take the whole oil pump out or what?

Hard to explain, its the seal that goes on that little arm on the oil pump that goes to the back side of the motor and bolts in with 2 bolts. (above the oil filter to the right, if your looking at it from the back). You need to remove both timing covers, timing pulley, drive pulley, cam gear. timing belt, motor mount, power steering, plus other stuff. It took me and 2 guys helping about 4 hours, and I have done it twice before. We had to make 2 trips to the part store. You will NEED a haynes to do this. I would make sure its leaking from there before you do it.

*also I have a spare engine in my basement I can take pics to show you. If needed.
