oil pan ?
ok i need to replace my oil pan in my 96 plymouth neon sohc and there is one that says oem specs??And then there is one that doesnt have oem specs but the one that doesnt have specs is cheaper but why does the oil pan have to have specs?
i bought the car and it was leaking oil come to find out the oil pan gasket was bad and the oil pan itself rotted out first time i ever saw something like this but i seen a piece of something looked like a big glob of grease so i pushed it with my finger and yah a big chunk of the oil pan fell out and it started leaking oil pretty bad so i was like you got to be kidding me so i guess first time for everything
New or used, up to you... If you buy a new one, as long as it bolts up correctly it will just be a slight difference between capacitys. Half a quart tops.
I'd paint the new oil pan before installing it, to prevent it from rusting again.

usually capacitys are almost identical, not even half a quart, maybe a quarter of a quart MAX, along with some of the renforcing groves in the pan may be different due to the molds being different.... u can go to advance and be fine.... i have sold them for years, and never had problems with any of them... (now i sell gm parts, hmmmm) lol
