High Idle(not vacumm leak)
I'm so lost here. Only way to get my idle to 1000 is to block off the spot that goes to the VC. Otherwise its at like 2000 or more. I do have a CAI, and I'm wondering if my little breather cai on the VC is faulty and sucking too much in? Or could it be my leaking head sucking in air?? help
I'm a bad boy and dont even have a breather valve on the VC. could be a cracked intake manifold or something?
How are your brakes? and are you throwing any codes? only reason why I ask is because on one of my Neons I began to get a vacuum leak and brakes began to loose their stopping power, but replaced every vacuum line till finally I replaced the brake booster. it turns out the booster diafram broke inside and was causing the leak. But if your not throwing any codes and your brakes are still working fine then I wouldn't' worry about the booster.

Well right now I only have front brakes. It seems to want to leak at the right wheel, for some reason when I attach the rubber hose to the metal line(not to the caliper) it gets super hard to push, and needs full effort(car not running). Eventually the fluid drains so seems to be its a leak in the lines, rather then vac??
Reason I don't blame that, is cause I blocked off all lines except the VC line and nothing changed, if the leak was at the booster it would go down..

Ok does this have to be a vacuum problem at the manifold?? Could a warped head at the runners cause it? Could it be sucking in too much from the EGR(I drilled the hole for it since it was a 95 head)???? I guess I'll do the quarter block on it to check but I take it it will throw a code??
Ok fixed the problem. The engine didn't have the hose to the VC so I got one from the JY , which turned out to be wrong cause it didnt have that plastic connector which I relized had a ball inside to regulate the air flow. Now the car goes down to 500-600 RPM when I put the clutch in ONLY SOMETIMES. It has also stalled out a couple times from this. Could this piece just be dirty and clogging?
