my guess would be that its pretty much like doing a sohc to dohc engine swap... there is a pretty good right up at the top of the page for that...

Stick to the 1G dohc head. Stock for stock the 1G head has a larger exhaust side than the srt dohc head. You'd think the srt head would be the best performing out of the box, but this is incorrect. In fact, many srt owners use the exahaust cam from a 1G dohc neon as an upgrade. Has greater lift and duration, which is ideal for a turbo car. The exhaust vavles on a 1G dohc head are also larger than that of the srt, allowing it to flow more air. The 1G head can be had at most salvage yards for under $45. Cams may be extra.

so if the 1st gen DOHC head flows better if and when i do a 2.4 swap are you saying i want to swap the whole 2.0 head onto the 2.4 cause it flows better? i know i deff would be swaping the cams from my current engine and remove the balance shafts as well... but the whole head also that would be pretty cool yet another mod that would add even more power to the stock 2.4 swap...

for some reason i was thinking the head on the 2.4 is the same as the one on the 2.0 (same cast #).

reading is good

hmm well that kinda answers that question i would have figured cause the srt 4 engine is more based off the 2.4 that the 2.4 and the srt engine would have the same head
