Angry Manual tranny wont shift!

Well I went for a ride today tuning the turbo. I was driving like a grandma, then put it into neutral. towards the bottom of the hill I tried to put it into 4th. It wouldnt. So I tried 3rd, 5th, and 2nd. None of them. I managed to get it into gears if I reved it up while I shifted and played with the clutch. When the car is off it shifts fine. But when the car is running it will not go into any gear, sometimes it will grind and go in. If I start the car with it in gear, I can take off and the clutch feels fine. Just wont shift. Over the last month It has been getting harder to shift at high rpms 5k+. It is hard to get it out of gear, and hard to shift it into the next gear. What is wrong? Also if My car is non modular, and I bought a modular clutch will it go right in?

the modular will go in but you will need a different fly wheel.

i hade a very similar problem a while back with my old r/t.....the problem with my car though was that no matter what gear you put it in, it was always in 4th gear...even when the selector was in neutral.....ended up being sumthing that broke inside the tranny

So I need the flywheel? Or is that the flex plate on the crank side?

I dont think its the clutch, I can take off in the car fine. Heck I can dump the clutch at 7k in it and the tires will spin. I think maybe the release bearing may be the issue. Because it just wont shift, everything is normal.

well it could be... are the clutches on these adjustable? i'm not sure i haven't dug that far into mine yet if they are it may just need adjustment... everything that i have ever driven and it did that ended up being the clutch somethings not right cause its not releasing all the way somehow either way your going to have to remove the tranny and take a look to see whats going on...

Problem solved. I bought a centerforce and r/t tranny last night. So I am just putting both of them in.
