Exclamation SOHC to DOHC swap

I have a 1995 Dodge neon with a SOHC, but motor is ready to go. I have a motor from a 1999 Dodge neon DOHC and I was wondering if there is any possible way to change the SOHC in the 1995 to the DOHC out of the 1999?

yes. it will bolt right up. you might have to change a couple of sensors but its very easy. i put a dohc motor right into my sohc car and didnt have any problems.

There is a whole thread in the neon faq page. But yeah it will work i believe the only difference is that 95's dohc had a different cam and some had a fuel filter but you have a 99 so neither one of those will affect you installing it into a 95 sohc
