On my wife's 98 SOHC 4dr Highline w/ATX, not everytime, but alot of times when it shifts, it revs up and I have to let off and then punch it to get it to shift. Do any of y'all have any ideas or have had this problem in the past???

 

A sticky valve?

 

Ever had the transmission serviced? sounds something in the valve body is sticking but with it slipping like that deff sounds like the trans is on its way out.... you could try changing the fluid and filter to see if that helps but i'm guessing its to late
