muffler?
I have a 1996 neon SOHC and I recantly bought a unversial muffler for it. I went to a muffler shop to get it installed and I was told that it will not fit on my car. The link below is the muffler I bought the 6005. Dose anyone know if it will fit on my car or not. I have seen another neon with this type of muffler but i'm still not sure.

Yes it will fit, you will have to take it to a muffler shop and have them custom pipe and hang the muffler. Unless you can do it yourself, its not gonna be that cheap. You would have been better off getting a pre-fit cat-back kit.
I don't know why they would tell you that because I had a universal fart can put on mine for 20 bucks at a muffler shop they used 2 L brackets and a stainless steel strap on the muffler, its really solid and dosent rattle. Take it to a place that knows wtf they are doing.
I have a SOHC Neon, and alls i did ws bought the pipe and muffler for a DOHC Neon, everything fit pretty well, not to spendy either. Alot more flow too, and not too muc more noise, im not big on the loud 4-cylinder sound.

What I did for mine was just bought a 25" x 2.25" glasspack, took it down to Monroe Muffler, and they took care of it. Removed the old muffler, welded the glasspack right on, welded a new pipe to the other end of the glasspack (cuz I told them I wanted it pointing straight out), and then bolted on the afterburner that my roommate gave me. Has a nice loud deep sound. Car sounds like a beast coming and going. And I've noticed a little bit of pick up in performance as well. I'll have to get pictures of it, probably this weekend.
