I bought a while back for my 02 neon (mtx obviously) a short throw shifter and booger bushings and I never installed them... according to modern I can use the booger bushings in my 98 DOHC mtx neon but what about the STS?

 

Yes. The shift is the same. Not certain about the assembly that bolts to the car though.

 

i guess i'll just have to try and find out

 

My thoughts exactly. Taking out the center consol is really small potatoes.

 

got it all in the STS was off ebay so I needed to hit the shift **** down to make it go into the grove(it wasn't shimmed just enough to not work smooth) other than that it was easy... also tinted my tails and fogs with the spare time I thought this was gonna take

 

u can use it, but u got to make 2 new holes cuz it dont fits, no big deal

 

If you got if from ebay, then you got a shorter shifter....not a short throw shifter. There is a difference.
