Default 98 Neon - Replace or not replace

First post on Dodge Forums, not new to posting, been posting on Motorcycle forums for a few years.

Have a problem, my 98 Neon has a blown spark plug out of the head, it has 160,000 miles on it. It turns over, but not the best idea right now. Would it be better to re-build or replace the engine? Which is better on cost and the quickest to get running? Also, it's been parked in my driveway for 2 years, just looking to get it going the best way possible.

Thanks in advance,

Bigin - better known as Greg

That's not a bad idea, but with 160,000 miles on it would it be better to at less replace the head? I would think the compression would not be good enough. What would a replacement head cost?

Neons.org usually has heads for sale pretty cheap, if you can find one nearyou or pick it up. I've shipped heads at 35(sohc) to 50(dohc) so even shippings not bad. You can usually find one for less then 200 shipped.
