I have run into a weird problem with my 96 plymouth neon ATX i was driving the other day came to a stop sign and the idle dropped to 500 and then died i tried pumping the gas to get the rpms back up but nothing happened just died but the fuel filter is 2 months old new plugs,wires,battery the alt isnt bad yet car turned over strong after it died but no luck in starting had to wait like a hour before she would start again and then still running the same so any help would be great thanks

 

it is possible your coil pack which that gas happend to me before or possibly your fuel pump

 

coil pack hasnt been replaced since i owned her i am going to check the fuel pressure in the system to see if its full
