Well he elignement will not case a vibrations or shimmy. As for the question on a very light weight used by a manufacturer. A lot of them will use all the way down to 5 gram weights. Most shops will only use down to a 10 Gram. Heck not a big issue truly. But when I balbance a tire I will often double check for actual weight on a balancer not just the rounded wieghts. Standard Coats balancers will oftern round weights up to .28 of an ounce to .00 as you are very unlikely to notice even at speeds over 85MPH. But out of my **** retentive nature will often check for less than .13 on inner and outer rim to ensure less than 1/2 of our smallest common weight, 1/4 oz or 10 grams.

Now as for other causes that I have found for vibrations at speed (No particular order),

1. Tire balance
2. Bent rims (check both ways as it may not be obvious at first)
3. Corrosion build up on back of rim
4. Bad tie rods
5. Severely unevenl worn tires (Alignment or worn shocks)
6. Tire defects

dude, in my 98 4-door, all I have is a larger-diameter intake, breather filters, and a muffler, and I've been 117+.

your car sucks, man (no offense)

and those are LITERALLY all I have done to it, performance-wise.
