Here's the deal... I sent in a 2.0l dohc to get rebuilt and the best conclusion i can come up with is the replaced my cams with 2.4l...

Both of my cam alignment holes are up, but both of my cam gear pins are down. Wouldn't that conclude 2.4l cams??

I have to get this car running today so I am fine with the cam issue. But I can't get it running... I flipped the cam gears over to the 2.4l side and matched the notches to the 2.0l side, flipped the CPS magnet, but I still get nothing. To the best of my knowledge it is in time. I can rotate the crank with only the compression resistance being felt. Nothing stops the rotation, but when I crank it, It sounds like something is hitting..

ANYONE have any tips, or live close to Rowlett and want to take a look at it?

 

Nevermind.... I decided to adjust the magnet 90* and it fired right off.. Once the lifters built up pressure the motor just purred...
