any engine up to 2002 i think will work.. the heas are the same as a dohc neon but the cams are a bit different.. a 2.0 cam swap is common for more power... you need an adapter modernperformance sells one i think.. or a guy named 2manyneons first made them... the injectors neer to be mover over one. so injetor #1 would go to hole number 2 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 the number 4 would be put to number one.. to clarify the injector wiring needs to be moved... the outside coil wires need to be flipped and the cam magnet needs to be rotated 180* and i think you thats pretty much it. if i find it you can even change the wiring at the ecu ill see if i can find the pin numbers for it.

would i be better off just putting a head from a 2.4 and get as much power out of it or should i swap the whole engine over?

again the heads from a 2.4 and dohc are the exact same save for the cams. if your thinking of the motor swap i would do it.... also you would b wise to get the 2.4 oiling and cooling systm as it provides more oil pressure and coolant flow then a stock system... cost mite be around 200 or less cant remember offhand. then a underdrive pully too would be something..

yes.. their are do differnt in heads except for the cams wich in a 2.5 are needed for the torque to move the heavyer car.. swap out the exhaust cam in the 2.4 for the one from the 2.0... and i ment the oiling and coolant stuff and the timing belt stuff from a srt4.. its all superior and works better and added more protection
