Default advice needed, car losing power and going into security mode

originally the durango lost power and in the odometer "nobus" appeared. Now, when parked and only the radio on it put itself into "security mode" and will not come out until 10-20 minutes later after following the proper steps. It now has lost power several times while driving and puts itself into "security mode" and I can not start it until 15+ minutes later after following the steps to release "security mode".

I've heard the only one's that can help me is a dealer. I have had terrible luck with a dealer in Alpharetta and am very leary about going to another, Can you tell me what is wrong and recommend where to take it?

Thanks

Wrong forum for one....this is for neons...but anyways. By any chance are you possibly not using the original key? By original, I mean a key that was made someplace that doesn't have the security chip in it. Other then that, I have no idea.

wow, that was actually a very clever idea...if you didn't have the original chip, then it might be going into security mode to try and save your "stolen" vehicle...wish I'd thought of that
