Question Start one day not the next?

That's what happened. Car drove fine after an altenator change. Now it's stuck in the garage. Turns over fine. Sparks ok, fuel to rail????? Any Ideas or experiance with this?
Much appreciated!

99 DOHC 108,000 I changed the crank sensor, no start. 8+ volts to sensor, back checked BLK GRY (+) from sensor .05 to 5 vwhile manualy cranking engine. Checked spark on #1 seemed ok.

When you checked the spark, what were to you grounding the plug to? Since you were working on the car prior, make sure any grounds for the engine block are connected. If you're grounding the plug out to the chassis and see spark, and the block isn't grounded, it won't be sparking when you reinstall it. Just a thought.

Never touched anything with a ground strap. Grounded the plug to a bolt on the valve cover. I repaired a ground strap to the fuel pump which I thought was the original issue, but it did nothing to start the engine. I've pulled the coil and checked it once it warmed up. all ok. Next step put a timing light on each wire to see if the they are firering. timing marks on the cam gears line up with #1 at TDC......

Never said you touched anything with a ground strap, but they deteriorate and could have maybe been bumped enough to break off. But you said you grounded to the valve cover, so you should be good. That's what I asked...

Got it. I saw first hand that problem with the ground strap to the fuel pump, or what was left of it.
