Default Overhead door light

On my 1996 dodge neon my overhead light that turns off with the door (usually) isn't turning off i'm thinking its the relay but i'm not sure i need sugestions I can test any help is appreciated.

Double check the door switch to see if it is working.

There are also rubber grommets that the switch presses on when you close the door. There will be two because one switch is for the interior light, and the other is for the chime. Make sure you didn't lose one of them. If it isn't there the switch won't push in all the way. I had this problem with the one for the chime, and mine would chime constantly when the ignition was turned on.

If this is your problem and you can't find them readily, I have some that I swiped from junk yard cars. I could send you one if you need it.
