Exclamation broken....

i officially broke my cluster with the tach for my 96 neon because i was trying to install the reverse glow and the black piece i pulled off not knowing i didnt have to and i put it back on and the stuff isnt lining up and wont work wat so ever unless im doin like 60mph it will say im doin 20 and i have a empty tank of gas and it says im over heating so if anyone has a extra cluster with the tach they want to sell for cheap because i dont have alot i can pay 20 for a setup let me know thanks

and another question will a cluster from a 2000 fit in my car?

well...i found out i cant use a 2000 neon cluster so nvm might be able to pay up to $30 for one let me know thanks

ahh it's not broken. all you have to do is start the car and let it idle, put the tach needle at around 1000 RPM. After you are sure the car is warm Place the needle at the normal tempature where it sits when fully warm. the fuel you either have to remember where it was or top it off before you set the needle. The spedo you kinda have to play with but it is not to difficult once you get the hang of it. if you have trouble with the needles sticking what I did was file off the back of the needles and they worked fine.

i had accidently taken off the black part of the cluster so i seen all the springs and stuff and the black piece on the cluster had cracked making everything stick so if thats not broken can i fix that ?

yah its pretty much shot i filled up my gas to the top and it is off by a quarter of a tank but o well...ill deal with what i got i think the speedometer might be accurate finally my wifey played with it and she figured it out so it might only be off by 1-3 mph if not 100% on

I looked on there and they want $80 for a used one thats even for a basic one so i gave up because they arent even worth that much so idk lol..

I might be able to get you one at the yard, I saw one when I was there last, but I'd have to see if they still have it. It'd be more than $30 though, probably more on the order of $50.

thanks anyways but i got the mph working so thats all i care about cant get another ticket or i lose my lisc lol.
