um. why do you even loosen the ps/ac belt? you should never have to touch anything that has to do with the ps/ac belt to change the tension on the alt belt...

 

because i didnt have to tension the serpentine belt I had to change it ....sorry I didnt make that clear....LOL

 

serpentine belt? theres no serpentine belt in the 1g neon

 

serpentine alternator same thing thats how we bring it up at the parts store... I guess serpentine is one belt for all, but listed the same i dont know if its just a stocking thing or what but i figured it was just universal.
