i have a 97 neon auto with an 01 neon motor n trans in it, i still have the orig. motor and its in great shape. i have plans for rebuilding it n i was wondering if i can take it 40 over and not have thin cylinder walls, n if i can where can i find 2.4 pistions?

 

the largest i would take it is .020 over.

 

you first need to understand the differences between 2.0 and 2.4.

2nd you need to know that the 2.0 block is not a very good block to use with the weak open deck design.
