Default Cold Air Intake

I need some opinions, I want to put a CAI on. Im looking at the Icemans which everyone knows are probably the best out there for the 1st Gen Neons. I was wondering though, what if i moved the battery to the trunk and made my own tube and say stuck a K&N cone filter on the end, what would be the difference performance wise? Thanks guys.

My battery is in my trunk......Id still use the ICEMAN however cuz when u move the battery it fits in a lot better and easier to install.

The intake tube from a 3.0L V6 (late-90's Caravan, etc.) fits perfectly on the TB. Filter fits nicely on the end. Total cost, including K&N filter - $50 or so. Dynos show equal gains between the two until the car is making 180+ HP, where the Iceman makes a tad more. Battery relocation or slight modification of the battery tray is sometimes needed. But there are dozens of variations on this... Cheap and easy.

Best of luck!
