Default loose motor, and oil in the spark plugs

help,
my sister moved to a new town and her trusty 98 neon overheated bad. she took it to get fixed by ; who knows! the end result is that she has oil in the spark plug tubes and when the engine gets reved it bounces from the tork. the front right motor mount seems to be working but i did not see another. any ideas would help

hey kenny,
The oil in the spark plug holes is an easy fix. You will have to remove the valve cover and replace the 4 gaskets that set on the tops of the tubes.
as for the right side motor mout may be okay but check the front motor mount. The front motor mount is located just under the front of the car in the lower portion pretty much dead center. The mount can be acessed from the bottom of the car when the car is on jack stands. An impact gun will make them bolts eaiser to remove. if i remember correctly you will need a 13mm, 15,mm, and maybe an 18mm I don't quite remember about the 18mm.

yep, your right. the lower motor mount rubber is torn up. glad the oil thing is an easy fix. you were a huge help. thanks , kenny

Default got it done

DOHC,
i picked up a valve covergasket kit and a new motor mount and they both did the trick, her neon is spinning like a top.l

well I am glad I could help. keep us posted of any problems big or small and on a further note make sure the timing belt and water pump are changed at around 100,000 miles. this will prevent a huge headache later.
