Default Fog Light Conversion

Has anyone ever converted the fog lights to come on with the parking lights as well as the headlights? I know my son was able to do his Focus by just putting a jumper in the fuse block..I wondered if the Dodges were that simple too, or more involved.

I did it with mine....and the way it is done you can actually turn the fog lights on whenever you want. Mine are setup basically as running lights.

It involves a simple rewiring behind the foglight/defroster switch....I don't have the details with me right now, but it literally took me about 8-10 minutes to do. I'll post them up as soon as I can.

Did you just tap power off of the defroster B+? I would think the circuit could handle the extra drawn power.

Here are the instructions that were posted for me about 2 years ago...I followed these exactly as they were stated and it worked perfectly for me. Good luck!

1. Pull out the fog light/rear defogger panel
2. Cut the violet with white tracer wire, leaving as much as possible attached to the connector for the fog light switch.
3. Tape and tie the free end of the violet with white where it comes out of the harness. You don't want this shorting on anything!
4. Strip the free end of the violet with white wire that's still connected to the fog light switch connector.
5. Strip a small section of the white wire that comes from the rear defog switch. DO NOT cut this wire, strip a section to make a splice. This is the third wire from the top.
6. Connect the stripped end of the violet with white wire to the white wire. Wrap tightly and solder. Tape and tie to prevent shorts.

Thanks a bunch, doesn't sound too involved.
