Dash Lights wont light up.
Hi so this is my issue. All the illum lights wont turn on, like the speedo and tach lights. I changed the bulbs out, checked the fuses. I replaced the dimmer switch (the **** that turns on the headlights, interior light, and dims the dash lights) and still nothing. I re soldered the connections at the back of cluster.
Their is an aftermarket radio, but it doesn't have a dimmer wire, so that wire (orange/white?) is connected to nothing. But while taking apart that, I noticed the person connected the ground wire from the radio to the black/yellow wire. I have fixed that, by properly grounding the radio, and re connecting the black/yellow wire. I don't have my book in front of me but I beleive that has something to do with illum.
So my question is this, What else am I missing? And how do I test to see if the dimmer switch (that ****) actually works? Also I get power at the fuse. So after the fuse the wire goes straight to the dimmer switch then where?
Thanks in advance

I should also mention that the car worked for a couple years properly, then one day the ignition fuse kept blowing. I parked the car for a year and a half. Found that the reason that fuse kept blowing was because a wire was grounding out in the engine compartment. I fixed that and now have noticed this new problem.
