I took my car to get inspected at the firestone tire dealer. They had to take off all the wheels to check the brakes. While putting them back on, the guy didnt hand tighten all the lug nuts before using the impact wrench on them, and cross threaded one of the lugs. when i tried to pull them off, not only were they so tight i could barely get them off with a breaker bar, but the one that was cross threaded snapped a lug! What would you do about this? I'm going to call and complain. Maybe theyll give me some free ****. It's not so much the cost of a new lug that pisses me off, its the fact that i couldnt drive my car this morning because i couldnt get the wheels back on. And the fact that the guy had to have known when it was so damn hard to put on that something was wrong. yet he continued to impact away.

 

its not that big of a deal, you can replace the studs individualy, they cost about $2 a piece. Just hammer it out and hammer the new one in, very simple. I would bring it back to them and complain, and have them do it.

 

yeah it wasnt a big deal. Just that i couldnt move my car because i dont drive without all 5 lugs. So i couldnt finish the job that night...
and i couldnt get to work the next morning. Im gona go complain about it, but its not like i could have them do it, unless i towed the car in...
