I have a 97 neon with an atx and looking for some different transfer gears. does any body know what kind of car might have a shorter ( higher number ) final drive ratio? I race on circle track in second gear but need to get rpms up.Would appreciate the help.thanks

 

I'd put in a manual trans !!! The torque converter robs a lot of power. To specifically answer your question, check out Omni's, Minivans w/ 3speed. Most guys like the old Omni 1.7 vw engine transfer gears. I'm not sure on the ratio but 1.22 rings a bell.
