98 Neon Interior Lights

98 Neon Interior Lights
I got a 98 plymouth neon the interior lights wont come on unless i use the head light switch i can open all the doors and it wont come on. If anyone has a suggestion just let me know. Thanks.

do u hear any kind of clicking when u open the door ?
u have two possible causes,
A) the switch that turns the light on at the buttom of each door when opened, is not working, try to unscrew it, spray some wd-40 on it and in it, and try to push it back and forth, if that doesnt work, u may need to change those switches.
B) the lights assembly switch is toast and needs to be changed, from previous experience u need to change this once every ten years .
