99 Neon Dash and Running Lights Work Intermittently
This is a head scratcher.... I have a 1999 Plymouth Neon Highline 2.0 SOHC. About a year ago I started having a problem with the running and dash lights. They won't work with the headlight switch in the 1st or 2nd position, but if I slowly push it between the 1st position and off position there is one spot where the running and dash lights come on, but only in this one spot. I have replaced the switch 2 times already so I know it’s not the switch.
I have checked/replaced:
Fuses, Bulbs, wiring, switch (2)
What I don't understand is I can get them to come on but only in the one spot. If I move the switch in or out they stop working. The headlights, turn signals, hazards, and breaks all work fine.
ANY IDEAS ANY HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
