Default engine swap

ok i read the other post on swapping out a sohc to a dual but what is exactly involved in making modifications to the wiring harness?

to tell you the truth i have no idea, but if you want upgrade and your just swapping engines, then get yourself a DOHC computer and swap a 2.4 l, from other various dodge cars. it will cost u a little mre for various mods, Like some engine mounts but u will get a better result, but idf U already have DOHC engine then just go with that I think its almost a direct swap out.

Some of the wire colors differ from SOHC and DOHC and from year to year, as do some of the connectors. The only biggie I can think of is the coolant temp sensor, which is up near the cam position sensor on the SOHC and over by the thermostat on the DOHC. There's a guy here locally that has a DOHC with the SOHC wiring harness, and all I saw was the extended wiring for the coolant temp. I don't think he even had to swap connectors.

kick *** thanks radar love i've looked at mostly all of the connectors and they look exactly the same so hopefully i'll have done by the end of the month.
