Default Cold Air Intake

I am wanting to put a cold air intake on my 1996 dodge neon sport SOHC. I think this will work. Im not looking to spend a large amount of money on one but am not sure if Dash Z Racing is a good brand. Here is the link to the part:

Technically, that's not a true CAI. It puts the filter above the exhaust manifold, therefore drawing in warm air. It will sound better and give you slightly better performance than the stock setup. There were only 2 true CAIs made for the neon. The original AEM intake and the Iceman intake. Both put the filter down under the battery tray and drew in colder air. Click on the link below and see how to build your own CAI. It is not the same as the performance of the Iceman but close to it.

does the aem and iceman require any mods or does it bolt and fit right in?

They bolt right in, but are hard to find. The iceman sells for about $150 used with the battery tray, tube and filter. I have yet to see a true AEM CAI for sale in a long time.

i bought a 50 dollar ebay kit. and cut the shorter pipe to a 90 and made the minivan intake out of it. works great and looks better than that one. but i did have to cut a little plastic off the front of my battery tray
