Default Disc Brake Conversion Difficulty?

Hey, i really haven't done my research on my brakes, but i was just wondering how hard it would be to convert the rear drum brakes to disc brakes? Also about how much does that run for?

It is posible, but it is not going to give you much better braking and is gonna be hard to find the right stuff and a PITA to do. I forget what year RT had the rear discs, you will need that the brake controler, and master cylinder, plus the brake lines to the rear.

I'm not saying the conversion is worth it but thier are more than just R/T's with them. I know some sports also had them.

Disks were standard on the acr & R/T. I believe they were optional on other models. I would look for a cheap R/T with front damage and use it as a donor. Just remember that the R/T has 5 lug wheels.

First off I agree neons do stop better with 4 wheel discs but what you fail to realize is from a performance stand point they really aren't worth it and when it comes down to it it's only adding a lot more weight and while acrs' did come stock with discs in the rear i know for a fact that in many rally acrs they where converted to drum just for weight reduction. But if your just shooting for a show car and dont care about weight go ahead and convert them.
