well ive got a 1998 neon 2 door that had a knock and i was just gonna part it out, well i got a call from someone interested in my condenser, ok cool so i call the guy and turns out he buys, fixes, and sells neons and he may have a motor i can put into mine bad part is he doesnt have any dohc's like mine so i would end up with a sohc motor instead, will i have to get a sohc pcm? or rewire the dohc one i have? what all is involved?
like i said its really backwards because most people want a dohc for power and whatever, and there is a thread on a swap to do this... but i got the car for 600 bucks and if i can get a working motor cheap from this guy i would be extremely happy just to have a fun, running, 2 door, 5 speed, gas saver to drive, versus driving my 5.9 ram everywhere including my 30 minute commute to school and work

nevermind, as luck would have it again his motor is a dohc with a good bottom end so i can swap my head and be sooo happy
