A/C Compressor suddenly wont engage
Update:
I took the car in to the place that worked on the A/C last month to be looked at Friday morning. They said that its an electrical problem, but they havent traced it down yet. They ran out of time since they were backed up and didnt get to it till a few hours before closing time. They said it has a short somewhere and its popping the fuse for the a/c compressor immediately everytime they put a new fuse in it. Thats actually more along the lines of what I initially was thinking. I did check the fuses on it before but it was dark and i was tired and in a rush so maybe I over looked it. So hopefully it will be something obvious and not very expensive. Its been a good little car but its getting to be way more expensive than its worth lately so I'm really hoping its something simple.
I also was thinking it could possibly be a pinched wire from them replacing the condensor last time on it.

Thanks for everyones help in this. It did turn out to be the compressor going south and its fixed now. I was pretty sure that the compressor was the problem but I let them check everything out good since all that was free, just wasting mine and their time. It cost $425 total for a new compressor to be installed. Could have been alot worse, or a lot cheaper (and faster) if I had the time to fix it myself. Depends on how you look at it I guess.
You didn't make out too bad...I was told it would be between $500-800 to get the compressor replaced. Either way, too much money to dump on it for something I don't nessecarily need.
