I wouldn't be too concerned about a 30 pound weight difference, honestly. 95-99's all weigh around 2500 lbs., 2003-newer all weigh around 2900 lbs. 2000-2002 I'm not sure the numbers on.

I would not worry about the weight too much unless you are planning on racing, they are all about the same. A car with a/c and power windows and locks it gonna be 30lbs heavier than one without. With or without power steering is about 40lbs.

The 1995 ACR's (no power steering, no a/c, no sound deadening tar crap, no radio) came in in the 2325 lb range. Pretty big difference from, say, a 1999 R/T with power everyting, sunroof, etc. coming in closer to 2600 lbs. Auto's were even heavier. The year isn't what makes the difference though, it's the options. Even the coupe vs. the sedan isn't worth worrying about (coupe is ~50 pounds heavier identically equipped).

When I pulled all my power steering stuff, I think it only weighed 25 lbs, but that was dry. The a/c stuff (including condenser and tubing) came in closer to 40 pounds on its own. People that have scraped all the tar out claim another 50 pounds easily (I've started, it sucks...).
