New to the site...i have a 95 neon 5 speed, clutch works great but when in 5th gear it keeps popping out...i need to keep pressure on it to keep it in gear. Is there a fix or is it internal problems.

Normally, when this happens, the synchronizer has gone bad. It usually starts in the higher gears and get progressively worse. I had a 1991 Nissan Sentra that started out doing exactly that and got so bad by the time I got rid of it that you could not get to even go into 5th gear without grinding, and you could not even hold it in 5th.

You can get it repaired or just find a used tranny and replace it. I would do the latter as there are lots of places to get a used tranny and very few shops (around here) will even repair a manual tranny anymore.
