Default spark plug tubes??????????

I have been researching a problem with my car and I think that I have narrowed it down to the spark plug tubes. The problem is that the car smokes bad on start up and hard acceleration, blue smoke which means oil is being burned, right? Anyway, the tip of the plugs look normal no sign of oil at all, but the threads of the plug are drenched in oil, so my question is if the spark plug tubes are bad will it allow the engine to burn oil or do I have another problem that I'm overlooking. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Oh BTW, it's a 98 neon, sohc, and auto trans.

The spark plug tubes have been known to leak. You can pick up new seals at the dealer for $10-15 or so. Then use blue Loctite when you put it all back together.

But that won't cause blue smoke to come out the tailpipe. Could be the valve seals or piston rings leaking by. Could be the head gasket.

Best of luck!
