Default over heating

Hey, I have a 97 Dodge neon that has been over heating. So I put a thermostat amd water temp sensor on it, didn't work. I had to change the motor so I put a 98 motor with lower miles in it and hoped that would help, didn't help either. Then I rodded the radiater out, it helped but still over heats. It does it worse when the air is on and i'm going up hill. PLEASE HELP IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY, it didn't use to heat up at all.

Could ba the water pump, thermostat, cap. The neons have a bad habit of going through thermostats. Run it with the cap off and see if you are getting flow. If you have any type of leaks the system will not create a vacum and suck coolant back in the radiator. It is a very small system and if you have air in there its not gonna work good.

maybe its time for a new rad, i had to put one in my 95 sohc neon after 3 thermostats, 2 rad caps and flushing of the cooling system did not help my overheating problem. thankfully the new rad cured all of my heating problems until the bearing went in the water pump.

Water pump isn't leaking, I changed cap and thermostat about a month ago. The water is running thru the rad fine after I rodded it out.
