I have a 95 Neon. Replaced the sending unit and pump assm, but the fuel gauge only reads between a 1/4 and 1/2. I removed the pump and replaced it with another one thinking it was defective and it does the same thing so I pulled it out and manual worked the arm up and down and the gauge work OK. I reinstalled it and has the same problem. Can any one help me please. Thanks Art

 

Are the other gauges working properly?

 

Thanks for asking, yes the gauges are working fine. When I removed the sending unit I manually moved the arm up and down and the gauge responded normally. That is where I am at. Thanks again Art

 

When you say you replaced the pump, did you replace the whole sending unit? Did you check the pigtail connector for any corrosion?
