Default CLunking

I picked up a new Neon. It's a 1998 DOHC Sport. So far it's been fun, but it is making a really terrible noise. It's is a really deep clunk/rattle noise. I thought it might be the Front Motor Mount, which turned out to be broken, but when I replaced it the noise was still there. The noise only happens at low speeds, (up to 80km/h -45-50 MPH) and on the highway it does not make the noise. The noise also gets worse when driving over bumpy sections of road. Thanks for any help. By the way the car has 200 000 kilometers, or 125 000 miles on it, and it is a 5 speed. Thanks again.

Check the other motor mounts? The tranny mount goes pretty quick as well...

I installed a new bobble strut, because the old one was really loose, and didn't seem to be doing anything. Unfortunately the noise is still there. I checked the front brakes and the driver side caliper is seized, and also seems to have an excessive amount of play. Could this brake problem be causing the noise? Is that possible. Also does anyone have any tricks for tightening up the bobble strut, I was using a cresent wrench to hold the top of the strut and a box wrench but it was hard to get leverage on it. Thanks for the help.
