this is my first post on here so i hope you guys can help. i have a 95 sohc neon. i drove it to work the other day and when i parked it, it had 1/4 tank of fuel. when i went to leave at the end of the day it would not start. i put less than a gallon of fuel in the tank and it fired right up. today i went to work, had over 1/4 tank of fuel. by the time i got to work i had around 1/8 tank of fuel. it was running fine when i got there. i went to leave and it wouldnt start again. i put a gallon of fuel and it started right up again. I DONT GET IT!!!!! help please!

 

this has happened to me a couple of times lol I'm not really sure why either I thinks its the way the pump is set up in the tank...my theory....the pump fills itself up and is running on what there and when you shut the car off it empties itself out back into the tank and the fuel lies along the bottom of the tank just below pump level so when you hit your key the pump cant get it til you put just that little bit that it needed back in...like I said lol my theory I just keep it about half tank now not a problem yet
