You have done one thing wrong. The Indy. Its too big and too short and wide runners. It robs you power.
Another thing, you dont really have any go fast mods.
I drove 16.9 stock with a 3.94 mtx.
Now, I'm in the midle 15's with å crane 12, lth, and some other stuff.
I think I have an intake leak some where, so when that is fixed I hope for 14.99

I used an indy on my sohc and it loved it. I was down in the 14's all day with mostly OEM parts. It had DOHC pistons in it and a 95 camshaft, then the other basic bolt ons. Back in my younger years: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/297720...ge-neon/page-4

Mod list was something like this:
2nd gen indy intake
Pacesetter header
stock exhaust with no cat. Performance muffler
Mopar ECU
Unorthodox UDP
No a/c, power steering
Factory struts on ebay coils
Harder motor mounts
EGR block off
Spool boy mod, walboro 255, aeromotive 1:1 regulator
15" alloy wheels
95 cam
DOHC pistons stock bore
Blueprinted and balanced rotating assembly
Minor porting on the head
52mm bored to 55mm and ported/polished TB
PT cruiser clutch
Factory SOHC trans was still in it
I blew up this motor twice already before this last build.

14.2X and I think the mph was right about 100. I was able to spin the tires off the lines, and I could WOT it and it would grab on its own towards the end of 1st. Not sure on when I shifted because the tach didn't go that high

Things like weight reduction and getting the car off the line make a big difference.

I agree you could use more mods to compliment the indy intake some more.

Dont you think you would de faster with out the Indy?
In the intake shootout on neons.org, it has som bad midrange, comared to AMM, Magnum and stock d90.
But, as you're saying, it worked on your car, so maby it is another story in real racing vs dyno.
Indy, is really nice looking piece of work. Only that is worth the money, but it has to make power to defend the price.

I did indeed feel a difference in my mid range, the stock did feel to pull a little harder around 3-4k. But no car should be touching those rpms on the drag strip unless you granny it off the line. I stay above 5.5-6k the whole strip.
