Default help with 2.0 to 2.4

does anybody know if i can use pistons and cylinder head from a 98 2.4 stratus and put them into a 98 2.0 block both are dohc?

Pistons no. Head yes. The head is the same as the 2.0 head. Only difference is the 2.0 has better cams.

That sucks thanks though what if the block was done .20 over I'm hoping for high compression

More displacement will not raise compression. And no, no matter what you do you cannot use the pistons or rods from a 2.4. Just throw in the whole 2.4, and put your 2.0 cams in it.

Hmm ok thanks if that's the case I will just take the head off the 2.0 and put it on the 2.4 block

I guess I need a headgasket for a 2.4 too then right?

The heads are the same, just keep the head on there and throw in the intake cam from the 2.0, I think the exhaust cam is the same also. But if you really wanted to change a head for the same head then I would recommend a new headgasket and head bolts. Some people will use copper spray and reuse the head bolts but I never have.

2.4 swap:
Motor mount adapter, 58psi regulator OR 24lb/hr injectors, 2.4 long block. You will use the sensors and manifolds from the 2.0.
