Default Rusted oil pan

I have now noticed that my oil pan is rusted badly in one area. I don't think it is going to make it though another winter...

How easy is it to change the the oil pan on a 1996 Dodge Neon SOHC? Can I just unbolt it and swap it out or do I have to remove engine mounts etc.

All advice gratefully received.

Many thanks,

Trevor

This is what haynes says. But I dont recall all this work last time I did mine, i think I used a pry bar to get it around the mount but maybe not the best way to do it.

Disconnect the negative battery cable
Raise vehicle, support on jackstands
Drain oil
Remove transmission support bracket, some models
Remove front engine mount and bracket
Remove transaxle inspection cover
If equipped with with a/c, then remove oil filter and adapter.
Remove the mounting bolts and lower the oil pan from vehicle
If pan is stick, tap with soft face hammer
Remove the oil pump pickup tube and screen assembly and clean both. Replace seal, reinstall.
Install new oil pan in reverse order
