Default Dash lights/ taillights

Ok guys 97 dohc atx neon. Doesn't have stock radio in it and the harness has been cut. When I got it the dashlights didn't work so I hooked the orange wire up to ignition power so they would work when the lights are on. Well now my tail lights don't work but I can get them to work by hooking the dimmer wire up to ignition power. Well I don't want to do that so my question is what wire comes from the headlight switch? What should the orange wire and the dimmer be wired to?

Tagging myself in this post, I will have time later to skim the wiring diagrams and get back to you if no one else does.

Unhook everything that you hooked up and get it back to factory.

Taillights: Check the fuse, and for power.
Fuses under hood to check: fuse 20(10amp) fuse 25 (15amp)
In car fuses:Fuse 6 (10amp), Fuse 2 (15amp)

Do the brake lights work? Do the blinkers work?

Interior lights
Fuse 12 (4amp) in car (possibly only under power when headlight switch is on)
Fuse 2 (15amp) in car hot at all times

Is it only the cluster lights not working, or does the heater control lights also not come on?
