Default Wheel questions???

I wanted to know if it is possable to fit an 18' wheel on a 1st gen with 215/35 tires. Will they clear the spring mount on the struts or will it hit. I also noticed that modernperformance is selling wheel spacers, would these let 18's fit or would the tire stick out too far and just look funny. Right now I'm looking at the enkei RPM-2 18X7.5 HyperBlack.

Thx

That's just shy of 30", less than 3% taller than stock. The offset of the wheel is going to play the biggest part on how far out they stick out or how close they get to the strut perch. With a 35mm offset, you should be fine. Your money though...

Best of luck!

30'...... don't you mean 24'? I belive a 185/64R14 is about 23.5 and a 215/35R18 is about 23.9

LOL... sorry, yup... Even my snow tires aren't that tall... 175/85R14's (25.7"). Almost 2" thinner (total section width) than what you are looking at though, which puts yours an inch closer than mine are with the stock 40mm offset. I have to use 3mm spacers in back or they hit the perch. Since the perch slopes, and I have no idea what the angle is, you'd have to measure. Best bet is to measure with your tires on there. Stick a straightedge along the top of the tire and see how much room you've got going up and back. That's what I did before getting my snow tires... Knew it was going to be close, so I picked up spacers ahead of time.
