I HAVE A 1999 PLYMOUTH NEON 2.0L HIGHLINE COUPE SOHC, and I want to know if on the engine there is a plastic cover that says SOHC 2.0L that is connected to the intake system, so my question is "Can I remove that???"

Yes, but it will suck even hotter air from the engine compartment.

 

Hotter air will help mpg numbers.
